About QlikToDax
QlikToDax is a free, independent reference for people moving Qlik (QlikView and Qlik Sense) apps to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
Why it exists
Most migration questions are small and specific: "what is Aggr in DAX?", "how do I replace ApplyMap?", "what happens to Section Access?". The answers are scattered across forum threads and vendor blogs. QlikToDax puts them on one page per function or pattern, with a working example, the honest Power BI equivalent, and the places where the two products behave differently.
Who writes it
QlikToDax is written by Cedric Durand, an independent BI consultant working with Power BI, Qlik, TimeXtender and Microsoft Fabric since 2023, through his business Cendren.
How pages are written
- Qlik behaviour is based on the official Qlik help (help.qlik.com); Power BI behaviour on Microsoft Learn and dax.guide. Every page links its sources.
- Each page is rated Direct equivalent, Partial / different approach or No 1:1 equivalent. When there is no clean translation, the page says so.
- Examples are short and illustrative. Always test against your own data model before relying on them.
Independence
QlikToDax is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Qlik or Microsoft. Directory listings are currently unpaid. If sponsorship is added later, sponsored placements will be clearly labelled and will not influence technical content.
